West Oxford Schools Partnership

West Oxford Schools Partnership is a group of primary schools and a secondary school in the west of Oxford. The organisation is new and needed a web site. They approached me to create a logo, branding and a web site for them. Having sourced a logo for them and designed the typography for their logo, I then worked on the look and feel of the web site. I am currently working with them to add content to the web site.

Flowerart

Flowerart is a florist that specialises in funeral tributes. They had registered a web address and signed up to a hosting provider with a web site creation tool. They were finding the web site creation tool hard to use, so had put off creating a web site for a couple of years. Wanting to get the web site done, they asked me to create a simple web site that displays some of their previous floral designs, along with contact details.

Crick Village Community Web Site

Crick is a village near Rugby. They already had a number of web sites but they were unattractive and not very easy to use. They initially approached me to redesign the church organ restoration web site, and they were so happy with the results that I am now working with them to redesign the rest of their web sites, under the umbrella title of the "Crick Village Community Web Site", and maintain and host the web sites.

Frank Guides

Frank Guides offers guides to online web companies and services. I researched, designed, built, wrote and set up this web site from scratch, opting for a low-graphics, "white space" web site, as used by companies such as Yahoo and Google. I run this web business myself, working with a number of well-known companies and smaller businesses to promote their online goods and services using pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.

Pemberton Associates

Pemberton Associates write and publish forecasts and reports for the automotive industry. I was approached by founder Max Pemberton to design and build their web site because he liked the clean, modern web designs in my portfolio. I am currently building and maintaining their web site, and am also hosting the site for them, having registered several appropriate domain names for the company.

Rugby Theatre

Rugby Theatre is one of the largest amateur theatre companies in the country. They wanted me to redesign their web site to have a modern "white space" look and feel, while maintaining the sense of history that the theatre and its building have. They also wanted to be able to update the web site easily themselves. I trained them in using Dreamweaver for this, and currently provide support those that update the web site.

For Sale Motorbikes

For Sale Motorbikes is another affiliate marketing web site that I set up using the same template as Frank Guides. This web site promotes a single moped company using search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques. As it used an existing template and had only a few pages, I set up and wrote this web site in a day. Having registered the web site with search engines, I now monitor its use with Google Analytics.

Switch Index

Some software can be used by pressing one or two simple switches, which is particularly useful for those with physical disabilities. Switch Index is a small web site that includes a constantly updated list of switch-accessible software. I redesigned this site to have a modern, professional "white space" look and feel, improving its navigation and rewriting the text to be easier to understand.

Crick Software

The company that runs Switch Index also makes switch-accessible software. I redesigned their web site to improve its usability, accessibility and text, and gave it a more up-to-date, modern and professional look and feel every two years. I also introduced e-commerce to the site and centred the design around this, so the company could sell their products online. I also maintained this site for six years.

Learning Grids

Learning Grids is a web site containing free switch-accessible teaching materials for schools. This is a database-driven web site, and after redesigning the interface, structure and navigation, I updated the look of the web site to give it a more crisp, clean, modern look. It now includes includes an optional Learning Management System (LMS) for schools, for which I also designed the interface and navigation.
